Saint Somebody  ~  Music Celebrating Connection

"Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future." Oscar Wilde

Cooked in a Classic Rock kitchen with an international spice rack, the music of Saint Somebody is original and familiar.

Overcoming hardship, learning from mistakes, finding our courage, redrafting and reinventing ourselves are themes that inspire the songs of this Colorado grown band.

Connections with others connect us with a sense meaning and well-being. Hearts are most effectively healed in the presence of others. Aspirations are achieved in connection with those who collaborate with us and support us. Music is shared with our communities. The music of Saint Somebody is also created in an incubator of community, collaboration, and connection.

What’s in a name? The spirit that drives this musical endeavor is charged by the courage to believe there is no time like the present to pick up dusty and discarded dreams. We can indeed learn and find new strength in the struggles behind us and redirect our paths in pursuit of our grandest aspirations.

Justin Spicer founded Saint Somebody after giving up on giving up. His dream of sharing music was long shrouded in fears and a perspective that more practical things needed to be prioritized. The image of the mythical phoenix appealed to Justin as he decided the losses, difficulties, blunders, and scars of his past did not need to limit his future.

In 2018 Justin rented a room from Allison. Seven and three quarter years later, the couple were married. Justin worked to replace patterns of self-loathing with those of self-love and called Allison into his life. In Justin, Allison found recognition and support of the beauty in her character, her voice, and her musicianship. Together the pair have endured a house fire, medical emergencies, the loss of family members, and all the while expanded their love and their music. Beginning in 2019, the pair called fertile friendships with other genuine and gifted musicians into their lives and began to unfold their musical wings.

Saint Somebody is a creation that aspires to share music in ever expanding ways and is also intended to call together community, community that nourishes and enriches the lives of all called to lean into Music Celebrating Connection.

"Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future." Oscar Wilde.
